Poured into a pint glass.
4.0 A: Vibrant orange in color. A little hazy, as if it were bottle-conditioned, but I don't think it is. Not a lot of head, even with a semi-aggressive pour. Decent amount of lacing considering the lack of head.
4.5 S: My my my, this is screaming deliciousness at me. Big citrus hop aroma followed by spice and fruity esters. Sweetness and bitterness marry as if you hybridized an orange with a grapefruit.
4.5 T: A lot of hop flavor, maybe even more than hop bitterness. I'm loving it. Grassy, citrusy, woody hops make up this flavor. There's a sweet and sour fruitiness and a biscuity character from the malts. Very good hop/malt balance.
4.5 M: Medium body, creamy as all hell. Very nicely done.
4.5 D: This is the kind of beer I want to drink when I hit up a bar. The beer is the centerpiece, not the people there. Big, bold flavor keeps me coming back for more.
I've never enjoyed an IPA so much that didn't qualify as a double/imperial.
