Light golden beer with a white, frothy, one finger head. Excellent sticking on the lace.
Aroma is all hops. Mostly pine hops with fruit notes and a pungent edge. Bitter overpowers sweet.
Taste has a bite. Nice bitter hops. Pine and grassy mainly. Slight hint of pineapple. Little bit of butter/toast malt to back up the hops.
Leaves a bitter, dry, hoppy aftertaste. This is a good smacky, sticky ipa.
When I imagine a standard ipa, this is what I think of. It isn't a tropical fruity, sweet ipa, and it isn't a high hop, high malt backbone ipa. Nothing overpowers and it's hop dominated. Bitter and crisp.
