Served on-tap into pint glass.
A: A nice rich amber color. Beautiful haziness, I love the way an unfiltered beer looks. Thick head that stays around through whole glass.
S: Strong, pungent hops aroma which I can smell without getting anywhere near the glass. I almost feel like the fresh hops are sitting in front of me. Really strong and amazing.
T: The taste is so incredibly hoppy that it is overwhelming to me. That being said, I cannot fault what is obviously an outstanding beer, because of my naive pallette. The taste is very complex to me even with nothing but hops coming through. Very bitter in the way that you want it to be.
M: This beer feels nice in the mouth. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation.
D: I can see how this can be easily drinkable for someone who wants this much hops in their beer. It definitely wasn't hard to put this one back. For me personally, it's not very drinkable because I think that it might be too much for me at this time. Again, I will not subtract from the quality because of my personal taste.
I am really happy to have been able to try what is so widely regarded as one of he best ipa's out there. I am going to put this on my list to re-review when the time comes.

12oz bottle into pint glass. Enjoy by 9/9/14
re-reviewed from 11/5/11, coz I like to think I know more now. (Jury still out on that)
Golden yellow with a small white head. Good carbonation & lacing.
Not getting much of anything on the nose.
Taste was a very good blending of the hops and malt, just enough of a hop bite to let you know it's there, with a sweet malt wash throughout the mouth.
Mouth was medium with a persisting sour bitterness on the back of the mouth.
Overall, a good and tasty IPA

A: hmmm. Nice head, with decent retention. Pristine copper to bronze color, with respectable lacing.
S: big hop aroma. The nose is dry and forcasts the hoppiness to come. Not very floral or piney, or even citrus, but full of hops nonetheless.a little alcohol.
T: dry as the sahara desert. No sweet maltiness here. The hoppiness and bitterness is driving this bus and we're along for the ride. Grass, pine, and pith are at the forefront, with some spices in the rear, to bring it all home. This is an IP
A to please those that love IPAs.
M: light to medium, lingering, with a medium carbonation.
O: dry, bitter, and full of hoppy charachter that is quintessential of the style, without being a characiture. This is good to great, but not exceptional.
