picked up a sixer on sale from the Safeway near Alaska Junction in West Seattle for 8.99. can you believe that? poured 12 oz bottle into pint glass.
pours a 1/2" light-tannish cream head with a slippery, mediocre lacing. body's a bright amber with a warm darker middle, this beer had quite a bit of sediment.
scent of hoptopia, odd soapy smell, raunchy banana, and lime. bready and citrus aroma.
tastes like someone spiked the punch. again, citrus and hops brigade on the taste buds. 6.9% hidden very well by the smells and flavors, and not at all in a bad way.
mouthfeel is wet for an IPA. roomy in the mouth and bright. citrus infused hops - at least what they seem like - linger on. like bud light lime had a wet dream of what it could be.
a badass IPA. I really can't believe I found this brew for so cheap. it could easily go for twice as much.
