First had on-tap in a pint glass. Pours a nice golden color with thin white head. Perfect lacing. Right away you can smell an almost overwhelming amount of pine, which is at the forefront of both the smell and taste. At first, the bitterness can be a bit much, but the flavor just takes over so wonderfully. Very piney flavor with just a hint of wheat at the last second. This is honestly one of the smoothest tasting, if not THE smoothest tasting, IPAs I've ever had. Even if you're not a fan of IPAs this is a must have.
Re-review: Out of a bottle. Smell is piney and citrusy. Taste is grapefruit and pine. The bitterness is balanced out nicely with bready malts. Not as bitter as I remember it. The taste seems subdued as well. Not as piney as I thought it was. I had this not too long ago and thought it was as good as ever, but for some reason it just doesn't live up to what I remember. I'm not sure if it's a bad batch or my palate has just evolved a lot.

At clear honey in the glass, with a thin head, but a good amount of lacing. Smells fresh, and faintly of hops, but not floral, so I'm ready for a sip. Nice carbonation. Hops, peppery spice, and a nice bitter finish. One for the fridge, which I will undoubtedly have many more times as it is now readily available out East.

A: clear amber beer with a one inch of off-white laced head that recedes quickly. Poured into a tulip.
S: in this order: lemon, floral hops, onion, spices, earthy pine
T: sweet candied fruits with a spicy pepper to it upfront, which is replaced by an extremely bitter, spicy finish; i can feel the hop's oils stuck on my tongue on a lengthy finish.
M: creamy mouthfeel, moderate carbonation.
O: not my style, but i didn't hate it. The hops are a little much, but i like the spicy, sweet notes.
