Review taken from notes.

22 oz brown bomber style bottle with a terrific Stone label that screams quality and class with a typical description backside from the guys in Escondido. Poured into a signature Stone IPA glass, and another into a Stone standard pint glass.

A - Golden-orange colored body with the slightest bit of haze. It's shows off some fairly good clarity while still letting your eyes know it has some thickness to it. A shade just off of white head that is fluffy/frothy with a thick ring of lace after it sits. Lots of stickiness with this as it clings to the walls of my glass in a classy manner.

S - An abundance of hops of floral and citrusy notes in this aroma. Fruitiness creeps in along with a solid hop spice. Sweet malt base Sits in nicely in behind all the hoppiness.

T - loads of grapefruit and Pine like hops make for an assertive bitterness with a nice hop spice flavor. caramel malt backbone does a wonderful job of keeping everything balanced. Dry finish and a lingering bitterness top off a great tasting ipa.

M - a bit more full than medium in body. Quite smooth with a good thickness. Alcohol booZiness is detected, but just adds to the overall taste of this flavor giant.

O - one of the best west coast style ipa's you can get and it's fairly easy to get ahold of. Do the guys at Stone make a bad brew? I know I've never had one(I've had about all of them) so im guessing no. This is one of the west coast legends and I finally decided to give it the credit and respect it's due. The Stone IPA is a must try for those of us who love hops and want a damn good American IPA. I know it's one that's hard for me personally to pass up and the guys at Stone don't make it easy on me since this is a year round offering. It's just one of those all time great IPAs.

A: Amazingly you can see right through this beer, but you can tell there is much more to it. You can almost see the body of this beer.

S: Terrific hop blast up front - floral, a bit piney and a touch of tropical fruit.

Taste: Whoa. Great bitterness to begin and it doesn't stop. Just great hops here and enough malt to balance.

M: Clean. Refreshing.

O: One of the standards for IPAs. I've rarely come across any that are consistently better. It's almost always on point and when it's not I've found that it's due to freshness. Being in South Georgia we have to pay attention to labels - stores here are not quite up to snuff on craft beer. We're working on it though.

This is my go-to beer. I want some in my fridge at all times. Even though this is a Stone, the hops are not overwhelming. The malt present makes the beer smooth and not as bitter as other Stone beers.

Poured into a glass the color is beautiful deep orange... but who cares, straight from the bottle this beer will not disappoint.

The aroma lets you know that there is a good deal of hops with citrus and a little of pine.

This beer does not coat your mouth too much, so that after a drink there is a crisp, refreshing finish.

Although the ABV is not as high and the hops are not as strong as some of my favorite IPAs and double IPAs, if I had to choose one beer to drink for the rest of my life, it'd be Stone IPA.
