A: Pours a copper color with a fingers worth of off-white head

S: Quite a bit of smoke, oak, and saltiness/bacon along with lightly sweet malts and alcohol

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with quite a bit of smokiness, oak, and smoked meat/saltiness and then goes into a very mild sweetness from the malts which is rounded off by the alcohol and more smoke. Finishes surprisingly/unexpectedly bitter with an oaky undertone

M: Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Quite dry

O: A very interesting and pleasant twist on the regular. I really think the smoke and oakiness make it quite a different beer than the regular version. I love smoked beers, and this one was no exception. A great addition to an already solid base beer. I'd love to see how this one ages

22oz bottle served in a snifter.

L - chill hazed reddish/amber color with a beige head that stayed as a layer leaving lots of thin lacing.

S - mesquite bbq smoke along with burnt wood and faint alcohol.

T - sweetness, bitterness, smoke, wood, hops, malt all blended together.

F - medium bodied with a silky smooth feel and warmth.

O - slight twist on OG that works well.
