Appearance: Deep dark-cherry/mahogany body. Generous, frothy, and persistant light-tan milkshake head that leaves thick foamy lace on everything it touches. Beautiful.
Smell: Floral and citrus hops, sweet caramel malt.
Taste: Oh mama, da hops! Medium-bodied sweet and toasted (even some smoke) malt to start, warm alcohol and crisp bubbling tingle at the top...then BAM!!, bitter-dry/citrus-crisp hop finish. Whew... incredible balance.
Mouthfeel: Rich chewy, creamy malt. Carbonation is perfect size and level to compliment the taste. Soothing alcohol warmth.
Drinkability: This brew lives up to the hype... thank the maker (ha ha) that this is now available in my area. Reminds me of Wailing Wench, but less rough around the edges...which is nice sometimes.
