Poured from a 22-ounce bomber into a stemmed glass.
A: Poured a hazy, reddish amber orange color with a frothy head of off-white foam. Carbonation was good, clarity was great, and there was some nice lacing.
S: Smells like ripened berries, orange peel, lemongrass and floral hops. There's a little sweet funkiness to it as well.
T: Taste is quite lavish and complex. A lot of deep roasted caramel malt flavors at first, very rich. This is balanced by a fairly aggressive floral and citrus bitter hop component. The fruity ale flavors are deep and varied, lending flavors of apple, berry, pear and a touch of citrus.
M: Mouthfeel is full bodied, but slightly creamy and sweet.
D: At over 7% ABV and with a full array of ale flavors, this brew is great to have on its own if you're willing to deal with the dizzying flavor profiles and the imminent hangover. A great ale, but probably not for the uninitiated.
