A: pours a deep brown with a fluffy light tan head. It looks a bit evil.
S: Smell is a bit herbaceous with a bit of caramel from the malt. A touch piney as well.
T: Deliciously bitter at first taste giving way to a slight caramel sweetness that is battered back by a wave of pineyness. The sweetness and bitterness battle for dominance on the taste buds with it melding to a bittersweet flavor. A bit of pine in the aftertaste with a touch of toffee like sweetness. Very well done.
M: Slightly prickly carbonation and a slightly silky smooth mouthfeel accompany it. Definitely not watery, but not heavy either.
D: It's gonna be fun drinking this bomber, but that's about the limit. This bad boy wasn't made for sessioning.
Overall: A very outside the box product from the folks at stone. I can't wait to move to a state where their products will be more available to me.
