Pours a fairly cloudy deep reddish brown color with a decent off white head. Lots of lacing is left behind as the head dies down a bit.
Smells fairly malty with large doses of caramel and toasted malts upfront balanced with a nice bold wave of hoppy aroma.
Tastes fairly sweet and robust with huge notes of caramel, toasted and roasted malts and it finishes with a huge dose of spicy and citric pine like hops. Loads of hops flavour in this offering, very spicy hops lend a perfect balance to the huge malty start. Not quite an IPA dose of hops, but they're defiantly in there and they provide a great amount of bittering to round out a pretty damn good beer.
Full bodied, very creamy/chewy mouth feel. A huge beer... Delicious on so many different levels.
