bomber into a tulip.
pours a hazy, deep reddish copper. gives me a big, belgian like, rocky, tan head right away and takes its time calming to a thin cap. tons of sticky lace left in this glass.
has a wonderful citrusy and floral smell. grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, grassy malts and a bit of fresh bread.
taste wise this beer explodes with hop flavor. fruity, herbal, toffee and bready notes all ride a big wave of hop bitterness all the way to the end. then the bitterness lingers for a while longer just to remind you of what you're drinking. no trace of the 7% abv in the flavor at all. pretty well balanced for being so, well, arrogant.
mouthfeel is the lighter side of medium, kinda chewy, with lots of carbonation.
very drinkable and superbly crafted. i credit this beer as my introduction/gateway to hop bombs and imagine a lot of other people can too. worth seeking out if you haven't had it yet.
