This brew pours a deep copper color, almost brown with a three finger head, some of which is still present at the bottom of the glass. Heavy lacing remains in the glass throughout.
The smell is of floral hops, carmel, toasted grains and also some spice I can not identify; possibly pepper.
The mouthfeel is biscuty and chewy. There is also a slight grainy taste.
The hop oils dominate from start to finish. However mixed in is the carmel malt then the toasted grain and biscut taste. There is also a spice, it might be pepper. The taste starts and finishes with a clean floral hop taste. The alchohol taste is well masked.
Overall this is a good brew but I believe a few more malts would balance it out.

A- nice brown color with a slight head
T- strong with hops and malt flavor along with chocolate and caramel. some citrus which always is a winner.
M- I expect it to have more presents, be a little stronger but it doesn't linger.
O- I am one who likes it, one who will recommend it.

This was a bottle I bought in New Orleans last May and forgot about. Sat in my beer fridge at about 45 degrees since then.
Pours dark amber color in snifter. Off-white head that lingers well. Lots of lacing.
Smell has lots of hoppy citrus. Pine, grapefruit and some lemon.
Taste follows the smell well. Nice bitterness in the finish.
Mouthfeel has moderate carbonation and a very dry finish.
Overall I did'nt expect much from this because it was so old and I have heard that ABA should be had fresh. It seems to have aged very well. Held its hoppiness well. Glad I did'nt throw this out.
