Poured from a bomber into a pint glass. Reviewed live.

A- Pours a thin khaki head with long retention. Head looks creamy. Medium brown color with some clarity.

S- Dark fruits and hops. Smells like a strong ale, but can't detect booze.

T- Strong and bold flavor. Dark fruits and some roasted barley perhaps? Also quite hoppy in flavor. Really interesting on the palate.

M- Smooth and full bodied.

O- This is a beer with a well deserved attitude.

A: Dark reddish brown with a nice, good-sized off-white head that leaves behind strong lacing.

S: Strong hops! Lots of pine and floral scents, some citrus, some malty and fruity sweetness. Smells great and intense.

T/M: Hops! Piney hops dominate, giving this a bitter kick up front, slightly balanced by the creamy malts, before even more bitterness kicks in at the end. Delicious, and as over-the-top intensely flavorful as the brewery's hype would have you believe.

O: This was one of my very first introductions to good beers, and it remains a favorite. A mouth-puckeringly, jaw-droppingly good hop bomb.

22 oz brown bomber with a brilliant Stone label. This version of the gargoyle has an 'arrogant' look to him and the bottle theme is a great touch. Poured into a nonic style pint glass.

A - deep reddish brown In color with a thick and frothy off white to light tan head. Sticky lace plastered the side of my glass. Beautiful!

S - nice hop aroma with a ton of pine notes. Toasted grain like malts with yet a hint of dark fruit.

T - big malt character and caramel sweetness with a slight touch of chocolate. A good mixture of pine from the well placed hops. Somewhat bitter but damn good. Dark fruits dazzle deep in this flavor. Roastiness adds a nice touch to this well balanced brew. Grainy and dry finish.

M - medium to full bodied. Thick and smooth while still maintaining a solid crispness. Very chewy in the mouth.

O - this was my first and won't be my last arrogant bastard. Huge complexity and flavor. One of the best beers I've ever had. It deserves the title arrogant title with the look, taste, and feel. It screams world class. Delicious. I now understand why Stone are so highly talked about. A must try.
