Enjoyed in a pint glass

A: pours a dark brown/amber color that has roughly a 2" head that is of an eggshell color. The head retains for a little and then leaves a lot of lacing.

S: the most obvious scent is of the piney hopes, I also smell. Decent amount of citrus and a roasty scent as well.

T: taste is delicious. It has a sweet malty taste combine piney hops but also a citrus undertone.

M: the way this beer goes from sweet malty flavor to piney hoppy keeps your mouth engaged throughout the drinking experience.

Overall, this ipa is one of the bests in my opinion. I love the flavor of the malts and of course the hoppiness of it as well.

Poured from a 22oz bomber into a pint glass.

A – Pours a hazy chestnut brown, with a one finger eggshell/light tan head which lingered for a ridiculous amount of time. Some of the bubbles appear a little soapy. Lacing is “complete” as in it completely coats the glass in a wash of tiny bubbles with each sip.

S – An enticing blend of citrus, floral hops, and butterscotch.

T – Complex and balanced. Taste starts off slightly fruity with hints of apple and pear, followed by a caramel tinged, biscuity malt with a slight hint of rye, and finishes just slightly dry with a grassy, floral, west coast hop kick. Yummy.

M – Big and chewy, but somehow also creamy and velvety at the same time. Lively carbonation. Stone absolutely nailed it here. Perfection.

O – While I have had AB many times before, I seemingly forgot how freakin’ good it is. My first thought upon sitting down to review this was, ”why am I not drinking this more often?” Extra points for being available at grocery stores in the Tempe AZ area. Very well may be the best beer you can buy without looking hard or going to a specialty store like Total Wine. A true stud.
