A: Pours a dark brown/black viscous with .5 head light brown head. Thick and coat the glass slight lacing and carbonation is evident.
S: Initially I poured this too cold and was only getting chocolate. As this bad boy warms and opens up it releases the espresso lurking deep within. Huge coffee/espresso aroma. Chocolate is still prominent but damn this is a coffee bomb.
T: Sweet chocolate is the first thing I get on the palate. Smooth chocolate, like a very nice milk chocolate. The coffee follows up. Reminds me of a cappuccino you'd get from a convenience store machine. Slight hop presence. Could be in my head.
M: Thick full bodied, silky and creamy smooth. Finishes with a bitter coffee taste that tingles as it goes down. Slight alcohol warming as well.
O: World class variant to a world class beer. Doesn't get much better than this for an RIS, and unbeatable at the price point.
