On cask for the Stone tap takeover at Stout Burgers & Beer in Studio City, CA.
Pours a murky light orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, Belgian yeast, spice, and slight cherry aromas. Taste is much the same with spice and yeast flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but there is no real cherry presence in the flavor and only a slight hint in the aroma.
