A - poured with a viscous thick black crude oil-ish body, took some vigor to get a one finger loose head that quickly dissipated.
S - first is alcohol, followed by a nutty sweetness, can get hints of the pecan, nice vanilla and whiskey notes come through as we'll. smells very intense and delicious.
T - taste is ridiculously intense. Wall of malt, with some subtle notes of chocolate, whiskey, vanilla bean, and nuttiness peaking through. Finishes abruptly with a heavy alcohol presence and wall of hop bitterness. Bitterness lingers with the malt character as well long after, reminiscent of their RIS but kicked up a few notches with the alcohol and hops.
M - feels thick, with light carbonation. Alcohol is very much present in the finish.
O - this is great. I think it's very similar to RIS but more intense, I'm not sure if i can really distinguish the wheat and the pecans are more present in the nose. I love stone's big beers, they have a very unique character to them, they are really just killing it. This is enjoyable, and will be enjoying them while they are available.

Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout (1.0), ale brewed with pecans, wheat, and rye, and one quarter aged in Bourbon barrels. Roughly 1 year aged. 13% ABV.
A: Medium tan head, less than half a finger. Fades quickly. Utterly black in the glass. Very, very dark brown in the dimple, with just a sliver of darker golden brown. Decent head, but most of it slides right off. Very tiny, bright bubbles. Bubbles slide nicely along inside of glass as glass is tilted.
S: Pecans, rich cocoa truffle, nice solid Bourbon-y caramels. Slight oak notes. Very slight alcohol aroma. Faint grassiness.
T/MF: Very smooth texture. Lots of bittersweet chocolate! Paired well with a really strong Bourbon-y caramel presence. Dark toffee, very faint licorice, slight sweet coffee back note. Slight oak and char. Very slight sweet graphite note. Darker flavors coat the saliva, and last there for quite a long time. Quite complex.
Not quite as good as I remember, but that's to be expected, given a years worth a palate building (for a relatively newer drinker).
Damn I wish I was able to get a 2.0 for vertical. Even better: 3.0, as well! Oh well; perhaps I'll get lucky later, and get a hold of one or both...
Poured from a 22 oz. bottle, into a Belgian tulip glass.
