Brown silkscreened bomber into shaker pint.
A: pours thick and oily with a rich roasted brown color. Not really a head on it but I expected nine from a beer that is 13% abv. Rich chocolate colored bubbles formed and left with a thin light Brown ring around the glass. Beautiful in its darkness this beer allows no light through.
S: sweet ricbitterh coffee and alcohol notes up front. No chocolate in this one's nose but I do detect a hint of hop. Nothing like the pale ales and ipa that litter the northwest this hop smell is merely here to balance the beer.
T: tastes like the dark! Opens with an assault of roasted malt darkness. Followed by the alcohol sweetness. A slightly odd astringent note that makes me think of Belgian strong dark ale. This note really balances the beer, else it would be cloying. The wheat is hard to find among the strong dark flavors and the alcohol bite. Leaves a burnt bitter taste on the finish that helps it finish dry. Not able to discern the pecan but I am sure we it absent this beer would be quite different, like bay lead in soup you don't realize that it is important until it is not there.
M: smooth as creamy peanut butter and almost as thick. Goes down to easy for something so dangerously high alcohol. Excellent!

Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout (1.0), ale brewed with pecans, wheat, and rye, and one quarter aged in Bourbon barrels. Roughly 1 year aged. 13% ABV.
A: Medium tan head, less than half a finger. Fades quickly. Utterly black in the glass. Very, very dark brown in the dimple, with just a sliver of darker golden brown. Decent head, but most of it slides right off. Very tiny, bright bubbles. Bubbles slide nicely along inside of glass as glass is tilted.
S: Pecans, rich cocoa truffle, nice solid Bourbon-y caramels. Slight oak notes. Very slight alcohol aroma. Faint grassiness.
T/MF: Very smooth texture. Lots of bittersweet chocolate! Paired well with a really strong Bourbon-y caramel presence. Dark toffee, very faint licorice, slight sweet coffee back note. Slight oak and char. Very slight sweet graphite note. Darker flavors coat the saliva, and last there for quite a long time. Quite complex.
Not quite as good as I remember, but that's to be expected, given a years worth a palate building (for a relatively newer drinker).
Damn I wish I was able to get a 2.0 for vertical. Even better: 3.0, as well! Oh well; perhaps I'll get lucky later, and get a hold of one or both...
Poured from a 22 oz. bottle, into a Belgian tulip glass.
