Picked up a bottle of this at Julio's. Poured into my Duvel tulip.
A - Poured a nice rich dark brown chestnut hue with a very nice fat one finger mocha head that fades to leave light lacing and a very, very creamy blanket.
S - Aromas of nice nuttiness (pecans), faint coffee, the booze is faint, no alcohol, nice creamy aromas, chocolate, super faint citrus hops. Very pleasant and inviting.
T - Taste is sweet caramel, very nice chocolate, roasted malts, coffee is faint. There is some bourbon notes, subtle tones here. Light barrel. Don't really get any rye, or wheat for that matter. Do really like this..nice pecan/nut notes, alcohol is hidden very, very well. Creeps up on you though. Really like how the bourbon is on the quiet side, but present throughout.
M - Mouthfeel is creamy, smooth. Alcohol is hidden surprisingly well.
O - Overall I was surprised at how much I liked this stout. I had initially hoped the bourbon would be strong, but as subtle as it is it really lended nicely to the flavour. The pecan is nice, as is the roasted, sweeter malts. Its almost poundable, almost, and then the booze finally sinks in. Wonder how this will handle to aging...

Pours jet black with a tannish head and some lacing
Aromas of toffee, dark fruits, bourbon, some hops
Tastes of vanilla, raisins, dark toffee, a bitter finish from the rye, perhaps with some hops. Don't really pick up on the pecans. I do detect the 13% abv
Smooth mouthfeel, creamy, very light carbonation...definitely a sipper.
Overall, a different imperial stout, very smooth and creamy, I don't know of the pecans really added much for me. Don't know if this will show up again, but I would give it a try.

Pint at 2014 Most Arrogant Bar Bash (Barleys in Greenvillle, SC).
Pours black and opaque, with a very good tan head. Red-brown edges.
Lightly sweet; flavor builds and builds to a strong finish and aftertaste; Light boozy; low (a bit too low) carbonation; warming.
