22oz : Teku
Black, with a thick light brown head of dense foam.
Toasty, nutty malts, oaky vanilla, faint bourbon and hints of cocoa. Wonderful, really inviting. The taste follows the nose quite well and is a unique, delicious take on an Imp. Stout.
Generally, I expect a bit more viscosity in this style, but the smooth, medium body and foamy, bubbly carbonation keep it from overwhelming the palate and become easily drinkable.
A very well done beer. The flavors imparted from the pecan and barrel aging work together quite well with the wheat helping to smooth the mouthfeel without excessive viscosity. I didn't pick up much, if anything from the rye malts.
Stone, their collaborations as well as their individual offerings, continue to impress.

Pours jet black with a tannish head and some lacing
Aromas of toffee, dark fruits, bourbon, some hops
Tastes of vanilla, raisins, dark toffee, a bitter finish from the rye, perhaps with some hops. Don't really pick up on the pecans. I do detect the 13% abv
Smooth mouthfeel, creamy, very light carbonation...definitely a sipper.
Overall, a different imperial stout, very smooth and creamy, I don't know of the pecans really added much for me. Don't know if this will show up again, but I would give it a try.

Pint at 2014 Most Arrogant Bar Bash (Barleys in Greenvillle, SC).
Pours black and opaque, with a very good tan head. Red-brown edges.
Lightly sweet; flavor builds and builds to a strong finish and aftertaste; Light boozy; low (a bit too low) carbonation; warming.
