Pours bright and clearly olden colored with a white foam cap.
Notes of citrus grape fruit mostly. Some very basic caramel malts and I dunno maybe just the label but I'm calling a "something else" coconut.
The flavor is much the same. Citrus grape fruit with an interesting malt finish. Mostly the caramel malt with perhaps some oak and coconut but honestly the damn beer is called coconut IPA so I'm just assuming that's it. The flavor lingers on the tongue and there's a good bit of resin.
Very clean and given coconut is known for the fatty elements of it, I kinda expected a bit of a film or thickness to the beer that would make it richer than the 7.7% would normally give. That didn't happen.
It's a good ipa but the price sucks given it's just a pretty good one. A 14 dollar sixer might be a possible max for this one and trust me a 22 oz pour isn't called for. Good yes, but it isn't worth going out of your way for.
