A- Pours a crisp, clear, full golden color with about 1.5 fingers of dense, frothy head. Retention and lacing are both stellar. The look of the beer in the glass, given that it has fruit involved can only be described as juicy.
S- Signature Stone IPA aromas going on here. Big hops up front with a predominantly floral, tropical scent. Coconut makes a brief, subtle appearance in the form of a hint of fruity sweetness. Really more fruity than bitter on the nose.
T- Holy mother of hops! Stinging, dominant hops bitterness right up front on the tip of the tongue. No need to work this back towards the back of your tongue to capture the bitterness, this one destroys the whole palate throughout. Towards the middle to end of the drink, the coconut makes a small and secondary appearance through the hops bitterness. The end returns to a vicious, resiny bitterness that lingers.
M- It's highly carbonated and smooth, but damn, the hops just obliterate the tongue. I may have a hard time finishing the bomber, not due to alcohol, just due to the bitterness.
Overall, wow. Interesting concept, ok beer. This is a hop head's dream. Might be the most bitter beer I've ever tasted. I think this has potential with the correct amount of hops.
