Picked up a bottle at Julio's and poured into my Duvel tulip.
A - Pours a crystal clear light amber with a one finger rocky, sudsy white head that fades to leave light sticky lacing and a nice blanket.
S - Aroma is definitely hoppy...tons of nice floral hops, pine, grapefruit, light tropical notes. Not getting much in the way of coconut though. None at all.
T - Hmm...Malty sweetness, juicy hops, fair amount of bitter pine. Really getting mostly bitter pine resin/oils, sweet malts. Maybe a hint, a hint of sweet coconut, but I think thats just my mind playing tricks. Not getting any roasted flesh, anything.
M - Mouthfeel is solid for an IPA, crisp, drinkable.
O - Overall, a coconut IPA this is not. While delicious as an IPA, this fall flat on delivering what it promises.
