Poured from a bomber to a tulip glass. Color is a rich gold, with a huge, foamy white head with big bubbles. The head hangs around for a bit, and leaves serious lacing.
Aroma is reminiscent of a very clean pilsner. There's an underlying bitterness behind a very sweet scent.
Flavor is bitter and sweet. Hop flavor is definitely up front, a nice earthy, and very rich punch in the face. At the same time, though, this beer is sweet as hell. Also a bit of alcohol flavor behind everything else.
Mouthfeel is probably a bit too sweet and cloying; medium, towards the heavier side, with moderate carbonation.
As always with Stone, a pleasure to drink, but a little on the sweet side for me.
