Pours a nice, pale gold. Quite clear, filtered. Medium white head. Some lacing and decent retention. The aroma has a lot of floral hops with some grass, herbal and light citric notes. Interesting minty edge to the hops. There's also a fair bit of sugary caramel malt, more than I'd like. It's sweet and perfumey. Everything seems rather sweet, and the sugary malt just pushes it all over the edge for me. The taste is similar. Lots of floral, herbal-dominant hops with bready, caramel-y, sugary malt. I like the sweet hop flavor, but the malt sweetness seems to throw if off balance. It's sweet on sweet. Somewhat cloying. There's little hop bitterness, just a light pine resin bite in the finish. The mouthfeel is not too heavy for the abv, but it's fuller than I normally like in the style. Fairly slick. Overall, I'm not a big fan, and unfortunately, it's not getting better as it warms. With a drier malt character, I think this would be much improved.
