22 oz bottle pours a mostly clear, light gold color with an ample cap of off-white head. Very nice retention and a decent amount of lace. Great looking beer here.
Nose is definitely as advertised, noble hops galore. Tettnang hops are very distinctive...grassy and herbal - leafy even. Smells interesting at least...reminds me more of a hoppy imperial lager than an iPA.
Its interesting to see hops like this throw out as much bittering as this beer shows. Malts are super light and pretty much just get out of the way for grassy and herbal hop flavors...crushed bay leaves and almost has a mint/sage character that is a little odd. It seems like a heartier malt bill would be better in this one, with a little earthy toffee to compliment hops that are more earthy as opposed to citrusy. I liked trying it, but I dont think I would buy again.
