General: This was purchased at a BevMo in the inland empire. I've heard good things about this beer but never tried it. I poured this into a Bottle Logic "lab glass" for tasting.
Appearance: Big off white head that's more like a foam, it's a lot of little tiny bubbles with a couple of larger bubbles spaced out in between them. Color is a beautiful gold, a touch on the darker side of the gold spectrum but not much.
Aroma: This is a really pine, grapefruit scented beer. Very nice. There is a nice little backbone of malt to the aroma for sure.
Mouthfeel: This is very drying, carbonation is pretty good. It's got the right mouthfeel for a DIPA.
Taste: Grapefruit and pine and resin are the primary flavors. This has a slight maltiness for balance but this is a big hoppy beer.
Overall: This is a pretty good DIPA, I like the flavors. There are a lot of other beers that are out there that taste the same. Everyone is going for a big citrus DIPA beers and this one may just get lost in the mix. It's good, not exceptional, but solid.

22 oz bottle. Pours clear golden orange with a medium creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sugary bready malts and tropical fruit / grapefruit.
The flavor is a little sweet fruity bready malt followed by a pretty big resiny bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with light carbonation.
Overall, a nice IPA, but not as good as I thought it sounded.

Bottle share at Proof done side-by-side with Proof's Guru IPA blended with Apollo aged on grapefruit. Pale straw in color with very little head. Big grapefruit and orange citrus with some tropical fruit in the aroma. Taste is spicy/citrus combo with a fair malt backbone. High carbonation (despite little head) and medium body. I enjoyed the Proof considerably more.

22oz brown bomber with a freshness date.
Stunningly tight and sticky lacing on top of this hazed out pale amber brew. Big bag of smashed grapefruits rush the nostrils, hints of alcohol and hops within. My palate is simply being abused by the onslaught of grapefruit and hops, the alcohol is clean and quite warming. Some light bready tones underneath but the finish is just more lingering grapefruit and hops.
Slam? This is a Smackdown, thanks Stone for this one and keeping things fun.
