eyes...
a big 2 fingers of white head rises up, beautiful clear orange tone with a wink toward amber, lots of carbonation keeps this girl peppy, lacing grips like a crack starved crack whore - very nice

nose...
grapefruit ? er... yeah. under that is some really nice fresh cone hops type smell, hop oil covered in citrus jizz, really nice bright hop aroma to be found here, me like

taste etc...
really hoppy - damn! the grapefruit edges a touch off the massive fresh hop bitterness but not much, you kind of get more of it in the aftertaste actually, I feel like I am breathing out grapefruit fumes, the carbonation is a little less active than it would seem but the
mouthfeel does not suffer much, you are looking at a pretty good medium feel that has some weight to it, this is pretty brash stuff, the grapefruit does come through and in a way takes the place of the malts in terms of balancing this thing out

verdict?
super hop flavor, on the border of being astringent but it just holds off, long linger on the aftertaste as well, the ABV seems to have more of a kick than the percentage listed on the bottle, or maybe I'm just a pansy
check this stuff out if you love the hop (1,184 characters)

22 oz bottle. Pours clear golden orange with a medium creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sugary bready malts and tropical fruit / grapefruit.

The flavor is a little sweet fruity bready malt followed by a pretty big resiny bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with light carbonation.

Overall, a nice IPA, but not as good as I thought it sounded. (388 characters)

Bottle share at Proof done side-by-side with Proof's Guru IPA blended with Apollo aged on grapefruit. Pale straw in color with very little head. Big grapefruit and orange citrus with some tropical fruit in the aroma. Taste is spicy/citrus combo with a fair malt backbone. High carbonation (despite little head) and medium body. I enjoyed the Proof considerably more. (366 characters)

22oz brown bomber with a freshness date.

Stunningly tight and sticky lacing on top of this hazed out pale amber brew. Big bag of smashed grapefruits rush the nostrils, hints of alcohol and hops within. My palate is simply being abused by the onslaught of grapefruit and hops, the alcohol is clean and quite warming. Some light bready tones underneath but the finish is just more lingering grapefruit and hops.

Slam? This is a Smackdown, thanks Stone for this one and keeping things fun. (489 characters)
