A: Light golden in color. Forms a moderate sized sticky white head that quickly falls to a rocky surface coating. Lots of lacing.
S: Aroma is, unsurprisingly, grapefruit. Lots of dry, bitter, grapefruit. And grapefruit pith.
T: Yeah. Like a grapefruit to the side of the head and another stuffed in my mouth. This one is intensely grapefruited. Light notes of caramel malts. A hint of malty sweetness. Maybe a touch of orange blossom. But in reality, its a very strong grapefruit flavor that is only accented with notes of grapefruit pith.
M: Medium bodied. Appropriate carbonation. Intense, dry, pithy bitterness.
O: I'm not a huge fan of grapefruit, but I love hops. Most of the time when hops are referred to a grapefruit, it is a reference to the way grapefruit tastes or smells, but isn't really the real thing. This beer, however, tastes and smells like grapefruit. The hops accent the grapefruit flavor, but this is all grapefruit and not a lot of hops.
