22oz bomber into a Guinness pub glass.
A- Beautifully transparent golden--orange color with a fluffy 2-finger head. That head is just off-white in color and leaves spotty and a nice fat ring of lacing. There's some modest small bubble carbonation. It looks yummy.
S- I barely had removed the bottle cap and could pick up the grapefruit right away. In the glass, the sweetness of the malts comes through. It smells sticky sweet from the malts and alcohol coupled with citrus hop bitterness. Piney as well.
T-Lots of grapefruit. It tastes like a halved breakfast grapefruit. Bitter, like I forgot the sugar. Then the malts kick in, just as if I remembered the sugar. Not as sweet as the aroma led me to believe, thankfully.
M- Rather smooth as biter as it is. Lightly carbonated, resinous rather than syrupy. Lots of hop bitters and lasting bite.
O- For me, it's an excellent citrus IPA. At 8.2% it comes in manageably drinkable, too.
