The clarity on this beer is so sharp it's nearly unsettling. Hide the head and any traces of carbonation and you might think it was bourbon. Flavor is good with a thick hoppy think going on that is not overly done or obnoxious or out of control. What citrus is there is an accent that joins in and meshes with resin tones and spicy edges from hops. A nice drinker. Has some heavy tones on it but is fairly balanced. A nice one. Glad I picked it up when I did.

As would be appropriate, this has a pink grapefruit color with a cloudy fresh squeezed hue. The head was fizzy and white but held its shape well.
The nose has tremendous grapefruit qualities but it's a combination of juice, pith and hop.
The flavor starts with a nice grapefruit juice and grapefruit hop flavor but the finish is a deeply herbal hop flavor. The hop flavors near the end remind me of so many Stone products with an earthy, grassy, chivey and dank quality.
The feel is quite tangy and light but does have a strong astringency.
This tastes like an IPA made by Stone with grapefruit juice, which is exactly what it is.
