I'm always excited about a special release from Stone and this one's no exception. This offering begins by pouring a handsome but unremarkable golden straw color with an almost greenish hue. It poured with a generous thick foamy white head that gave way to a offwhite film and substantial lacing. The aroma is very citrusy (obviously) with hoppy pine and resin notes and a little malt to offset the bitterness. The flavor follows suit. Super bitter tons of citrus and very very refreshing. It is a simple ipa and rather one note but that one note is damn good. Keep it up Stone!!!

As would be appropriate, this has a pink grapefruit color with a cloudy fresh squeezed hue. The head was fizzy and white but held its shape well.
The nose has tremendous grapefruit qualities but it's a combination of juice, pith and hop.
The flavor starts with a nice grapefruit juice and grapefruit hop flavor but the finish is a deeply herbal hop flavor. The hop flavors near the end remind me of so many Stone products with an earthy, grassy, chivey and dank quality.
The feel is quite tangy and light but does have a strong astringency.
This tastes like an IPA made by Stone with grapefruit juice, which is exactly what it is.
