Bomber to snifter, bottled 1/23/14
Pours a nice vibrant golden orange with a finger of foam and great clarity. Retention is okay, as is the lacing. Mild/moderate carbonation stemming from the sides, not bad looking
Smell is a citrus hop bomb, as expected. Grapefruit, lemon and lime, orange and tangerine, along with a big dose of pine. Sweet bready malts come through in the back with a touch of alcohol
Taste is with the nose, strong grapefruit and pine followed by a lot of other citrus- lemon, orange, a bit of tropical fruit. Malt profile translates well, sweet and bready with a splash of alcohol on the finish
Feel is really bitter with a moderate body and dry finish. Alcohol concealed pretty well, highly drinkable
Overall a really great beer. First time ever hearing about Stone's Koochen Vagner project. Hope they keep releasing things as good as this
