Stone, a symbol for independent craft beer for many people... is an upscale, trendy, and expensive restaurant? Well, the food is expensive but it is very well prepared and unique like their beer and the beer is actually reasonably priced. At the time, they are renovating the kitchen and taps so selection was limited. The service was excellent. Our server apologized profusely that we came for something listed on their website they hadn't even had for over a year and even bought our second round. An army of employees bring food out, clear plates, and refill water quickly. The clear star of the whole experience is the atmosphere. A rather plain building exterior hides massive stone structures with iron work stone walls. If that's not your thing you can always look through the 3 story glass windows where you can see Stone's huge brewing facility. Despite all the intimidating architecture and interior design, it's a very relaxed environment especially when you sit outside and walk through the gardens. Dotted around outside are tables and chairs where you can enjoy your beer and sit quietly, at least when I was there because it was after they first opened. Totally worth the visit and I would certainly love to go back when they finish renovating... if only I didn't live 1000 miles away.

Stone is an amazing place. After having visited several start-up breweries around the state of Texas and then taking a trip to this location, I realized what a state of the art place it was.

The atmosphere is incredible and their in-house restaurant gives the brewery a "high-end" vibe.

It was an interesting task locating the brewery because there is no sign on the outside letting everyone know that they have found Stone. If you are familiar with what a brewery looks like it will be easy to stumble upon it. The tour informs you as to why this is and is a pretty neat idea.

The tour was excellent and very informative. I feel as though the tasting room could be separated from the gift shop so as to create a less crowded environment and to make you feel as though you can talk about the beers.

Other than a separate tasting room, this brewery needs nothing else and is world-class!

Visited California and this gem. Located in a discrete building in an industrial park, it contains an oasis of beer and food once you drive a little way in. We took the tour of the brewery, one of the best of the many I've been on. Dinner was great. High end brewpub with nice outdoor seating. Would love to get back there.
