Marmalade amber color with a dense foam of separated cream. Laces well.
Pine hops, earthy grapefruit, dank citrus, bitter orange, and some tropical hop stank. Burly toasted malt reminds me of a hoppy red ale. Alcohol evident. A hint of safety meeting.
Bitter pithy hops with bone-crushing intensity. Dank citrus, grapefruit rind, bitter orange, and a lot of pine woodiness. Sappy and chunky. Some green tropical fruit rind (melon, papaya) in the fray. Alcohol, bruising malt toast, hefty bitterness, and leafy astringency. Slightly saline. For hop-lovers only.
Coarse mouthfeel with a big body and a carbonation of gritty texture. Not an easy quaff.
Eh, I was expecting better. Would much rather have a Double Crooked Tree.

I reviewed a previous iteration of this beer when it was originally released on tap as Smells Like Weed. Now that it’s bottled and widely available I thought it would be fun to revisit.
This pours a vibrant amber with creamy toffee colored foam. There’s a great aroma on it. I'm getting lots pine and some orange dank notes. I found it to have a pleasing bitter assault with lingering piney notes makes for one delicious beer.
