Poured from a bottle into a New Belgium snifter. Pours a hazy apricot color with a nice tight one finger of head. Nice lacing too. I definitely get the raspberries on the nose. Also get a bit of cherry and lemon as well.
The beer has a light body and a rather thin mouthfeel. There is a light, grainy taste up front and some sweet notes, then a nice wave of raspberry flavors come in. The flavor is pretty well-balanced between tart and sweet. It's unfortunate that the brewer didn't leave it a bit more tart, as it would have complemented the graininess well and made the beer very refreshing. The finish is a bit underwhelming, but still manages to be dry enough to leave you ready for more.
I'm not sure how they brew this, but it drinks like a raspberry wheat beer. It's quite tasty and refreshing.
