Sampled on tap, the pint arrived with a decent white head with some retention and lacing. A hazy, unfiltered orangeish-light brown color with sufficient carbonation to leave a nice ring of foam at the edge, even after sitting for a half hour while interrupted.
The scent of raspberries is clearly evident in the midst of a fruity hop nose, especially at first sip. Carried into the flavor, the raspberry is a little more pronounced, but only enough to give a nice tartness to the overall malted barley profile. Good deal of hops give it a pale ale style. The tart fruit blends well with the hop bitterness for a flourishing finish.
Not really a what I would consider a "fruity" beer, it is a well-crafted pale ale with just a touch of berries, and not at all sweet. I especially enjoyed it mixed half and half with a strong Belgian style, Dragonmead's Final Absolution (a Rasolution?). The tart bitterness cuts the slight sweetness of the Belgian and produces a complex, tasty fusion of flavors.
Pairs nicely with Chicken a l'Orange.

Appearance: pours a light copper/dark burnt orange color, small head, mostly clear
Smell: berry, tart, slight malt scent, cinnamon, earthy tones--very aromatic and relaxing smelling
Taste: tart, yet sweet raspberry flavor, nutty, slightly malty
Mouthfeel: very carbonated but light in body--almost too much carbonation in my opinion
Overall: For a fruit inspired beer, this is one of the better. However, it can get old and seem redundant after a while--the sweetness becomes slightly overwhelming.. but for every once in a while, it's a great option!

Poured from a bottle. Has a clear golden hue with a quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is faintly raspberry, and this is probably the best part of the beer. The flavor has hardly any raspberry, but more of a wheat. Even then, there isn’t much. Carbonation is low to nothing, and the beer leans on the watery side. Unfortunately this just isn’t a very good beer, and I happen to like fruit beers.
