look: 4.5 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.25
Served in a snifter glass.
Appearance: Borderline looks perfect, hazy amber body making this brew completely opaque. No it's not dark it's just right. Slightly off-white head with sticky lacing rose about 2/3" of an inch...not bad at all.
Smell: Has light alcohol with heavy hops and a nice mix of citrus. Keep in mind it is light and reason why i feel it shouldn't be rated higher.
Taste: I was expecting a lot more only because of the hype created around this brew. It's bitter offset with heavy alcohol and citrus. Grapefruit notes and hops create a pretty good bitterness to it.,
Mouth: Medium and freaking sticky, with heavy bourbon type of after-taste.
Overall: Not a bad beer, granted at least around where I live here in New york it was hyped up a bit probably due to it's availability. I have had better DIPAs that were much easier to find that might make you forget quick about
