A - Pours a hazy, rusty amber with a piss foam head into the snifter. This beer just looks unpleasant. Luckily, I know it's not.
S - Huuuuge caramel malt base. Huge. Toffee. Huuuuge hop aroma. Citrus. Pine. Pineapples. Booze notes, but nothing that says "13.6%". Wonderful fruit.
T - Sweet on the tongue at first, and finishes with a nice fruity citrus twang... which slowly turns into heavy bitterness. Huge booze notes throughout. Just a huge, heavy, slow-drinkin' brew.
M - Medium-thick bodied, almost syrupy, with a fine, even carbonation. Nice.
D - This one, she's a sipper.
Notes: I can't believe I never reviewed this beer. A bruiser fresh, and a near-barleywine with a little time on it. I like this at every stage.
