A: COla brown with little frothing a edges that stays with beer.
S: Maple and borwn sugar. Malt with a seranno spice. Tons of caramel. Pine from hops, but there's a wierd cheezy spice ( I know this sounds wierd) like opening a bag of doritos.
T/M: Smooth. Lighter mouthfeel than I'd expect. This one is a few months old by now, so the flavors have mellowed. Still little alochol perception. Everything melds nicely. Big malty carmel presence gives way to the hops, which push through in a nice way, not overpowering, not a hop heads dream, but add some nice spice to this beer that balances everything out. The zlochol comes through in the end, but no perception of the huge abv here. Finish is long, and I et that same bisuity yeastinees cobined with spice that gave me the feeling of Dorito's earler..
D: Great for how big bthis beer is.
Ovr: I really love this beer becuase it tries to be a great beer, and that's it. Too often DIPA's just try to be huge unbalanced hop messes that don't work for me. This beer, the hop character is large, but in perfect harmony with the alcohol and malt. Only complaint is that it was a bit light on the mouthfeel for my tastes.
