look: 3.75 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Half Acre tulip.

A- pours a cloudy dark caramel, with sediment and floaters, and a 1 finger light tan head. Trails and blotches of lacing remain on the glass.

S- big caramel, toffee, biscuit, toast, some citrus, and pine.

T- toasted malts, toffee, caramel, citrus rind, bitter pine.

M- medium body and carbonation. Slightly acidic and dry. Not hot.

O- good dipa but I have had a lot better. Higher abv than almost all dipa's so I have to cut it some slack, but one I will pass on in the future.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter
A- dark, burnt orange and cured tobacco golden brown

S- citrus and pine, sweet. Alcohol presence on the nose and malty sweetness

T- Hop bite as soon as it hits the tongue and the malt backbone comes through after swallow. Sweet, citrus and spice blend together well and beg you for another sip

M-crisp on the first swallow and full-bodied just as a DIPA should be. Coats the mouth and leaves a tingling of hops and bitterness. Almost a sweet licorice after-taste mixed with orange, tangerine and melon.

Not a huge hop bomb, but very, very drinkable for a strong DIPA. This is a very tasty beer and one that I'll be looking to have again. Never had heard of this brewery before my Bro in Law introduced me to them and glad he did.

On tap, pours a cloudy amber with lots of lacing and a thin head that lasts and lasts.

Light smells of citrus hops, and grapefruit

Tastes hoppy but not overbearing with a good malt backbone, citrus hops with a little pine and just a hint of the high abv.

Light carbonation and medium bodied, not nearly as syrupy as you would expect

Overall, great easy drinking DIPA at 13.5% abv.

A: orange, cloudy, good head sustained at half coverage, easily re-formed with a swirl of the glass
S: floral and citrus, but with a very earthy backbone
T: pretty much in line with other DIPAs, sweeter to start, a bit of alcohol burn (this might be a notch above others at temp). Sweetness is caramelly (making that up), but cast against a grapefruit back.
O: very enjoyable, and given it jumps the ABV even for a DIPA, might be well worth it.
