A - Pours an impenetrable ruby-brown with a one finger slightly off-white head. Left no lacing.
S - A profound amount of nuttiness up front, followed by some toasted and roasted malts.
T - Sweet caramel as soon as it hits your tongue, quickly followed by some roasted almonds and toffee candy. Toasted malt also somewhat becomes present along with sweet candy in the finish.
M - Medium bodied with almost no carbonation. Nutty all around.
O - Overall, Probably the best Scotch Ale I have had to date. The flavors open up and meld together perfectly. Forget Loch Down, Forget Dirty Bastard, Forget Skull Splitter, this is as fucking wonderful Scotch ale, far beyond the others I have mentioned.

Pours an opaque deep brown with a frothy, lingering khaki head.
Notes of treacle and toffee erupt from the glass, with dates and prunes adding complexity. Rum soaked raisins come to mind, along with a slightly savory, not quite soy character.
Flavor reveals brown sugar and caramel malt serving as the backbone, becoming nutty and toffee like in the slightly sweet finish. Underlying notes of muted prunes, raisins, and dates are welcome distractions from what could be slightly cloying malt sweetness. Cola characteristics emerge late.
Body is on the full side, with modest carbonation and moderate alcohol warmth.
Nice malt character, with a decent amount of estery complexity. Some may think this to be too sweet, but I enjoy it.
