Pours a hazy copper color, much darker than your regular IPA. Cloudy and hazy to the core, I love it. A light tan head sits on top with excellent retention and leaves tons of lacing. Nice looking IPA.
Big citrus and floral notes right off the bat. A considerable malt backbone comes through to balance it nicely, but the hops dominate.
This one showcases the floral and fruity side of hops without adding too much bitterness. It's fruity with grapefruit and orange notes without a lingering bitterness. Of course it has a piney bitterness to it, but it disappears almost as quickly as it comes.
Mouthfeel is light to medium, a bit thin in my opinion. It has a bitter and carbonation bite, the one-two punch. Decent enough drinkability but nothing to write home about.
It stated out great, but the lack of mouthfeel dropped the score for me. A great IPA, no doubt, and one I will gladly have again.
