Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at his tasting.

Pours an opaque black with a foamy dark khaki head that fades to nothing. No lacing on the drink down. Smell is sour with dark roasted malt, cocoa, acidic, and funk aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour cocoa and funk flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness and acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a low level of carbonation with an almost flat mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty but could use more carbonation in my opinion.

750ml bottle from the '12 4 Elf release. Split 4 ways during our Plead the 5th mini tasting, poured into Lawson's tulip. Hard to read the black on black ink, but it looks like this is bottle 150 something out of ~300 bottles released. Thanks Paul (Anonymous1) for the hookup.

A- Pours a completely still jet black that leaves some alcohol legs but pretty much nothing else going on. Looks similar in appearance to the regular Pt5 except it doesn't have any head to speak of and absolutely no carbonation.

S- Lots of dark fruits such as cherries, grapes, raspberries, etc. with a nice slightly vinegary sourness to it and some oak barrel notes in the background. Nice balance, pleasant smelling for a dark sour, fairly aromatic, decently complex. Surprisingly the aroma was actually quite nice and is pretty much on par with other top notch sours such as Tart of Darkness.

T- This is where the beer starts to go downhill. The taste does not quite follow through from the nose and is subdued and watery. Subtle flavors of dark fruits, cherries, faint dark chocolate, and a slight acetic watery finish. While the taste wasn't terrible, I was kind of let down especially after how nice the aroma was.

M- This was by far the worst part of the beer and what caused it's downfall. The only good thing I can say about the feel is that it was drinkable and decently smooth besides that though the beer was entirely flat and fairly watery which completely destroyed anything the beer had going on for it and made it almost undrinkable. Easily one of the flatest and worst feeling beers I've encountered.

O- After hearing the reviews I had very low expectations going into this beer. Besides the aroma which was actually quite nice this beer was kind of a mess mostly because it was completely flat. If they could add some carbonation to it it might actually be fairly decent. I'd like to see them make this beer again and fix the carbonation issues, but otherwise I probably wouldn't be looking to try it again any time soon.
