A: This poured a hazy copper with some light tan head.
S: It smelled like fresh grapefruit and citrus zest, with some earthy caramel malt.
T: It tasted like sweet honey malt, with some bitter citrus zest and earthy caramel. It had a mostly clean and sweet aftertaste.
M: It was slightly thick with moderate carbonation. Decent body.
D: This was a surprisingly sweet IPA. The scent was good, but the taste lacked bitterness. The body was ok and the finish was fairly smooth, so it was pretty easy to drink. Really not bad, but certainly not great.

Citra Crooked Tree backwards? Hmm, this is an oddly named brew. Still, Dark Horse and Citra hops...I'm in!

Hazy orange body with a fluffy finger of of-white head.

Nose is tropical with a hint of spice (or pine, maybe). There is a yeasty note that reminds me this is supposed to be unfiltered.

Flavor is slightly sweet, smooth and sharp on the finish. Not as tropical as other citra brews I've had. Tasty and balanced.

Mouthfeel is slick and only slightly stripping.

Overall, a very nice brew. Drinkable and complex. Seems that it would go very well with food.

Pours a hazy brown/orange with a one finger head. Not much lacing going on.

On the nose is sweet malts and grapefruit. Tangerine. Citrus from the hops. And some earthiness.

Taste is all bitter. Maybe a slight hint of citrus but nothing much more than a big piney punch. If you're into IPAs this is for you.

This beer has nice carbonation. Full bodied.

Served in a tulip.

Appearance: A transparent gold amber color with heavy small bubbles on the body. White head was a little thin in frame rising to maybe 2/3" with a hard pour. Settled pretty quick.

Smell: heavy citrus aroma, feels incredible. Has a problem, it's light but the grade of the scent it doesn't have to be potent.

Taste: Floral, hoppy and bitter, you can feel the grapefruit properties immediately. Improves a lot as you get closer to the end of the glass. Maybe one of the smoothest IPAs that I have had.

Mouth: medium bodied, not really sticky but smooth. Ligt hop after feel mighty seem a tad dry for some.

Overall: picked this up on a gamble, and honestly not a bad investment. I would definitely pick it up again especially for one of those days you want one of those easy days drinking it up. Salud!
