Appearance: Just like the Ollopa version of the beer -- a brown/orange color that's really hazy. Not as hazy as the FF variety was though. Modest little head on this beer, about a quarter finger after it settles.
Smell: Dat Cascade tho. Sweet and very fruity. A "sharp" sort of sweetness. Tropical citrus as well as a peach kind of aroma in there as well. Caramel malts. The best smelling of the three I've had over the past 24 hours, definitely.
Taste/feel: Good, but I was just expecting so much more after smelling it. A fruity, herbal, and pine character comes through at first from the hops, followed by a kind of spiciness and caramel malt flavor to balance the beer out a bit. Very dry finish with a lingering, resinous bitterness. The texture of this beer seems different than the two varieties I had yesterday -- a tad thinner with a bit more carbonation, but it's not way off.
Like the others, another solid single-hop variety of Crooked Tree. The smell of this one had me really excited, but it turns out this was just a "very good" IPA, and not quite a great one. All three varieties of "Dekoorc Eert" (or four, if you had Artic last year) are good, but I prefer the original Crooked Tree. If I had to rank the brews individually, Artic would be my favorite, followed by FF, Ollopa, and then this one... though it's a really close call, as they're all essentially tied for me.
