Bottle 5 of 396. From the 2012 4elf party, shared at a local bottle share.
Brew pours a silky jet black with anthin foamy head. Nose is big chocolate with some oxidation that actuallymrounds things out and kind of has a roast with a bite. Some dark fruit stouty notes jump out as well. Taste to match. Nice roasted chocolate with anhint of oxidation that comes across as bitter coffee with some dark fruit. Frinks like a stout, no porter char. Fairly full bodied for a porter (but still lighter than a stout...maybe like a foreign export stout?). Really easy drinker and quite enjoyable.
