Ive been past this place many times, Ive even been inside, but this place doesnt command very much attention so I never noticed that they actually have lots of beer.

I had heard from some people that they do carry craft beers but I expected to see a slim line up of all the usual stuff.
Not so.
The place is small, cramped and kinda sketchy but look around and you will see coolers lined up all filled with nice stuff. Ommegang, Stone (09.09.09 was still there), Saison Du Pont, Founders and lots of other stuff. I didnt stay long so I cant recall everything but I was impressed.

The turn over here looks like its pretty poor. 09.09.09 and Alpha Klaus were both still there. Since FFF hasnt been in Ohio for well over a year you should check to make sure what you are buying is fresh.

What a surprise this place was! Some friends of mine had told me about it repeatedly, and I finally had the opportunity to visit. This is a tiny place at the intersection of Third Ave. and Northwest Blvd. Super easy to drive by, or simply pass off as another convenience store. Outside there are a handful of parking spots. Inside it's small and crammed, with a surprisingly big beer selection. Seriously, only a small portion of one cooler had the American macros; the rest were dedicated to all sorts of craft beers. Bell's, Founder's, Stone, Rogue, New Holland, Ayinger, Ommegang, GLBC, CBC, plus a lot more. I was seriously impressed. Prices were on par with any other place in town. The guy behind the counter was friendly and seemed pleased when I complemented the beer selection. Most of the stuff is located in cooler, but there are a few shelves, too. A few single bombers, but mostly 4- and 6-packs. Worth checking out, and a handy place to have in Grandview!

This is one of those situations where I have driven past a place dozens of times and never thought to stop to look for beer. After stopping in for some combos and Vitamin Water I was completely surprised by the beers here.

Boulevard Carryout is located at the intersection of Northwest and 5th in Grandview. There is a tiny parking lot in front. The building is definitely not much to look at from the outside, nor the inside for that matter. It looks like an old beat-up carryout both inside and out. It is cramped on the inside and has all the ecoutrements of a convenience store. The beer is located on the right side of the store and is mostly in coolers.

The beer selection is really good given the size of the store. They stock around 100 different bottles according to the shopkeep. 98% of it is already cold. Brewers such as Great Lakes, Bell's, Rogue, Stone, Anchor, Magic Hat are all represented. There is a decent selection of imports as well. There are a couple dozen different beers available as singles too which is always a plus.

Service here is good. The guy behind the counter knows the beers and is friendly.

All in all I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this store for my beer needs since it is pretty far from where I live but as far as the Grandview area goes their selection is right up there. It goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover.

This Grandview shop offers a wide array of craft beers, both domestic and import. You will be able to grab 6-packs, 4-packs, large bottles, as well as individual 11 and 12oz bottles, and always several microbrewery sampler packs: GLBC, Abita, Harpoon, Tommy Knocker, Southern Tier, Flying Dog, and others, all in regular rotation.

Bells, Unibroue, Anderson Valley, GLBC, FFF, Left Hand, New Holland, Arcadia, Stoudt's, Avery, Chimay, Ayinger, Stone, Bitburger, DFH, Sammy Smith's, Abita, Bison, Sierra Nevada, Buckeye Brewing Co., CBC, and many other craft brews are always available. If you don't see something in the main cases out front, ask the owner, Ali, and he will be glad to grab you some from the back if it's in stock. They keep update on all sesonal releases.

They also offer a solid, low to mid end selection of wines, some cigars, and macro brews. The staff is helpful and the prices are on par with other establishments. Along with Spagio Cellars, the Twisted Vine, Gentile's, MacLaren's Wine Shop, and Barley's Alehouse #2, Boulevard Carryout establishes Grandview as the leading neighborhood in Columbus for craftbrew consumpiton.
