The brewers for Richbrau have scored a big winner with me with their Belgian-Style White Christmas Ale. Appearance is simply amazing: A massively cloudy lovely golden-hued peach in color with a minimal head that still manages to leave thick and long-lasting distinct rings of lace on the pint glass. Aromas are an interesting mix of citrusy fruits mixed with orange rind and coriander. Flavor starts off with a tangy-sweet front, middle sees more of a doughy-sweetness, and finishes dry. This beer is spiced with freshly ground bitter orange peel and coriander and it definitely shows in the taste. Mouthfeel is good...medium body and not overly-carbonated. On the lower end of the ABV scale, and it was really easy to drink the pints I had. As with other Richbrau beers, this one got a lot more flavorful as it warmed. The orange flavor and spices really perked up. One of my new favorites from Mike and Aric. Well-done!

I've had this bottle for a bit, thinking it might be a better summer beer than something for Christmas. I'm thinking, this is a fine beer for year-round consumption.

Cloudy pale orange with a huge pillowy head that clings to the sides of the pilsener. A cacophony of columns of carbonation (if they made a sound) helps to bring out the nose, a lemony blend of wheat biscuit and coriander. The taste is a lovely blend of malty sweetness (but not a heavy barley molasses sweet) and lemon rind. Mouthfeel and body is thin to medium, just fine for the style. This is an incredibly easy to drink brew. I've got to agree with oldfrothingslosh, this is a quality brew. The boys at Richbrau certainly make some fine rotational beverages. This is one of them.
